The 4 Cs — Explained Simply
Cut
How well the diamond was shaped and faceted. A well-cut diamond reflects light brilliantly. Cut is the biggest driver of sparkle — and one of the biggest drivers of value.
Color
Diamond color is graded D (colorless) through Z (visible yellow or brown tint). Colorless stones (D–F) are rarest and most valuable. We grade this with calibrated comparison stones in controlled lighting.
Clarity
Most diamonds have tiny inclusions or surface blemishes. The fewer and smaller, the higher the grade. We use 10x loupe magnification to assess clarity.
Carat
The physical weight of the diamond. Larger stones are exponentially rarer, so price increases sharply with carat weight — all else equal.
