How We Evaluate

1.
Metal content — Gold, silver, platinum value based on weight and purity
2.
Gemstones — Quality and value of any diamonds or colored stones
3.
Craftsmanship — Quality of construction and detail work
4.
Designer/Brand — Premium for recognized designers and luxury brands
5.
Age and rarity — Antique and rare pieces may command collector premiums
6.
Condition — Overall state of the piece
7.
Market demand — Current buyer interest in similar pieces

We look beyond melt value. Unlike some buyers who only consider metal weight, we evaluate the full worth of your pieces—including collectibility and resale potential. This often means a higher offer for you.

What to Do With Inherited Jewelry

Inheriting jewelry can be emotional and overwhelming. You may have pieces you love, pieces you'll never wear, and pieces you're not sure about. Here's how we can help.

Option 1: Keep What You Love

We can clean, repair, and resize inherited pieces so you can wear them. Sometimes a simple polish brings a forgotten piece back to life.

Option 2: Repurpose and Redesign

Turn grandma's ring into a pendant. Reset an heirloom diamond into a modern setting. Use the stones from one piece to create something new.

Option 3: Sell What You Won't Wear

Get fair value for pieces that don't fit your style. Use the money for something meaningful—or to care for pieces you are keeping.

Option 4: Get an Appraisal

Not ready to decide? We can evaluate your pieces so you know what you have. Understanding the value helps you make informed decisions.

No pressure, ever. Inherited jewelry often has emotional weight. Take your time. We're here to give you information and options—not to push you into decisions you're not ready to make.

Estate Jewelry Questions

"Estate" refers to any previously owned jewelry. "Antique" specifically means pieces over 100 years old. All antique jewelry is estate jewelry, but not all estate jewelry is antique.
Yes. We evaluate pieces based on their components (metal, stones) as well as overall condition. Even damaged pieces have value.
We examine metal content, gemstone quality, craftsmanship, designer marks, age, rarity, and current market demand. We'll explain exactly how we arrived at our evaluation.
Absolutely. Bring everything in and we'll go through it piece by piece. We'll identify what you have, explain its value, and help you understand your options.
Generally no—we focus on fine jewelry with precious metals and gemstones. However, some designer costume pieces (Chanel, Miriam Haskell, etc.) do have value. Bring it in and we'll take a look.
Constantly. We acquire new pieces regularly as people sell to us. If you're looking for something specific, let us know and we'll keep an eye out.
For a limited time, yes. Estate pieces are one-of-a-kind, so we can't hold items indefinitely—but we'll work with you.
